Tilta announces a cage system for the Sony FX3 cine camera with a Full, Basic, and Pro kit levels to suit any budget, starting at just $89.

Furthermore, this price includes a promotional launch discount of 10% Off regular pricing on pre-orders by May 12th. This is also the date the FX3 cage is due to ship. 

In addition, the Tilta Full Cage for Sony FX3 camera features several 1/4”-20 threads with locating pins, 2 x cold shoe receivers, a NATO Rail for Wooden and Advanced Side Handles, as well as a Rod Attachment Port for the Tilta Single Rod Holders

FX3 Full Cage starts at under $100 USD

As with other Tilta cages, the FX3 Full Cage can be further expanded with optional accessories into a Basic, Lightweight, and Pro kit depending on your video production needs and budget. 

Some of you may also recall Tilta recently announced a cage system for the Sony FX6


Furthermore, the left side arm module can be removed to turn this full cage into a half cage. Of course, this offers more flexibility for situations when it’s necessary to strip the camera down to a more lightweight setup. 

Built to last

As with the rest of the Tilta cages, you can expect a solid aluminium build quality made to withstand the challenges of the modern video production set. 

Moreover, the cage has a Bottom Plate, which provides several mounting points for attaching your camera to various QR plates. This plate is also compatible with the ARCA Receiver of the RS2 Mounting Plate for the DJI Ronin RS2.

In addition, Tilta is also throwing in a Quick Release Plate that can be easily attached to the bottom of the cage. Then it can be attached to the Tilta 15mm LWS Baseplate Type IV rod system; thus enabling easy mounting of follow focus and matte box accessories.

The Basic Kit expands on the Full cage by adding a Tiltaing Rotating Top Handle, a couple of 15mm rods, and a LWS base plate. 

Shoot Vertically for Social Media Content

The included Rotatable Top Handle mounts to the cold shoe receiver on the Top Mounting Plate and can be adjusted to be used as a side handle when shooting vertically.

In addition, the Top Mounting Plate doubles as a NATO Rail for Side Handles to be mounted on top of the camera for vertical shooting needs.

And also, the Top Mounting Plate can also be removed independently of the other cage components, which allows you to easily mount the FX3’s original XLR Top Handle if needed.
