Camera accessories maker Tilta is working on a new cage for the BMPCC 6K Pro camera with some interesting features such as an EVF extender.
At the moment the company hasn’t released pricing or shipping info, however in a new blog post, Tilta shared some key features of their new cage.
Many of you are familiar with the previous Tilta cages for the BMPCC 4K and 6K cameras. Furthermore, these cages introduced advancements like the 90 degree HDMI port, an external SSD holder, interchangeable parts with other cameras, and much more.

However, as camera tech advanced, so is the need for accessories to follow suit. And Tilta are no strangers to innovation. Their next generation Tilta cage for the BMPCC 6K Pro seeks to up the game with several new improvements.
Noteable features of the new Tilta cage for the Blackmagic Pocket 6K Pro includes built-in ARRI compatible rosette mounts and a built-in Arca Swiss quick release plate.
In addition, the cage will be compatible with the Blackmagic battery expansion pack. One of the more interesting and useful features is a new EVF extension cable/arm designed specifically for Blackmagic Design’s latest camera body.
EVF Extension for BMPCC 6K Pro
The detachable OLED EVF for the BMPCC 6K Pro is one hell of an accessories, and with the new Tilta cage, cinematographers can further customize the experience. Get a glimpse of what it would look like on the photo below.
In addition, the cage’s design allows for a quick change to a half-cage design in a pinch.
A 15mm rod holder, can also be mounted in front of the battery grip (below the lens) so it will allow you to mount a follow focus accessory.
As with other Tilta tactical cages for the BMPCC 4K, 6K and other models, their new cage will be adjustable to different setups. These include various handheld setups and gimbals, thanks to the included Arca-Swiss quick release.
Quick Release SSD Holder
In addition to the Tilta M.2 SSD box for the BMPCC 4K/6K (NVME holder), which can be mounted underneath or above the cage, the new Tilta cage will also support the popular Samsung T7 and T5 external solid state drives.
