Teradek has just announced VidiU X, an ultra-slim 1080p/60 live streaming encoder that lets you go live in seconds from any camera.

Vidiu X is compatible with any video source (camera or video switcher/player) that has an HDMI output and can output signals with 1080p resolution or lower, and 60p frames per second or lower. 

The OLED screen on the front gives easy access at the touch of a button to a clean and simple to navigate menu structure. Also, an SD/SDXC card slot that allows users to save configurations and to also record the video stream.

The stream itself uses the H.264 compression with maximum bit rate of 12 Mbps. Embedded audio via HDMI is also supported.

Multiple ways to live stream to the Internet

The new Teradek Vidiu X gives users plenty of options to start live streaming. As such, the streaming encoder gives users 3 options to go live – via Ethernet cable for maximum reliability, cellular connectivity (3G/4G/5G) with your LTE USB modem for portability, and WiFi 6 for the best wireless on location.
