Teradek just introduced the Teradek Bolt 4K LT – the company’s latest compact, zero-delay 4K HDR wireless video system. Offering a more compact transmitter, but still packed full of pro features, the new Bolt 4K LT is no slouch.
In addition, the Bolt 4K LT can transmit a 4K/30p signal via HDMI at up to 750 feet line-of-sight, and all that with zero-delay. And as this is a more affordable 4K HDR wireless video system, it lacks the 12G-SDI that the more upscale Bolt 4K has.
More Affordable 4K HDR Wireless Solution
However, the transmitter has both HDMI and 3G-SDI connectivity making it compatible with pretty much every capture or monitoring device out there.
Furthermore, Teradek is also offering a 1500 ft version, for about a grand more. The new Bolt 4K LT is more suitable to smaller production crews and operations, who do not require to send a 4K signal via SDI. Of course, thanks to the included 3G-SDI, you can still transmit 1080p up to 60fps.

Transmit to up to 6 Receivers from 1 Transmitter
One of the coolest features of the Bolt 4K LT is that you can transmit to up to 6 receivers from just 1 TX! And also, the signal chain supports metadata, timecode, and start/stop flags from most camera manufacturers. Needless to say you can also mix and match TX and RX between Bolt 4K ranges.
4K HDR and Improved Wireless Performance
Furthermore, the Teradek Bolt 4K LT supports Rec.2020 HDR in 10-bit 422 in Log. Also, the system offers a reliable transmission and reception over 13 x 40 MHz frequencies, with significantly less drop-outs compared to previous gen.
Nevertheless, the Bolt 4K LT also boasts faster re-connection times, automatic signal quality switching, and a more robust frequency hopping algorithm. An additional 5GHz radio frequency link is available for high-traffic locations with excessive interference from other wireless devices.
Pricing and Availability
The Bolt 4K LT is estimated to start shipping at the beginning of November. Pricing starts at $2,490 USD for the 750 ft version, and $4,990 for the 1500 ft. You can also head over to Teradek to explore the Deluxe kits with hard cases, cables and battery plates.
