RODE Microphones has announced four new accessories for their Wireless GO and VideoMic NTG. New kit includes the RODE DCS-1 Dual Cold Shoe, SC-11 Y-Splitter cable, SC-10 TRRS cable, and SC-16 USB-C cable.
DCS-1 Dual Cold Shoe Mount
Starting off the list is the RODE DCS-1 Dual Cold Shoe mount designed to allow video creators to mount two microphones or cold shoe accessories onto a camera with a single cold shoe/hot shoe mount.
In addition, the DCS-1 is made out of lightweight aluminium, however it retains a sturdy and discreet build. Furthermore, the Rode DCS-1 is compatible with all RODE products with a cold shoe adaptor, while offering handy cable management slots for cables.

RODE SC11 Y-Splitter Cable
A new companion piece to the DCS-1 is the RODE SC-11 high-quality TRS Y-splitter cable designed to allow you to connect two mono 3.5mm outputs to a single stereo 3.5mm input.
Needless to say this is fantastic solution for situations where you need to connect two microphones to a single hybrid mirrorless camera. As in the case of, for example, dual Wireless GO receivers, or a wireless receiver and a RODE VideoMic.
Both the DCS-1 Dual Cold Shoe and SC-11 provide the perfect solution for plugging two microphones into a single recording device. Thus, they eliminate bulk and cumbersome cable management from your rig.

RODE SC-10 TRRS to TRRS Cable
Basically this is the same cable that comes with the RODE VideoMic NTG, however, not it is available for purchase separately.
Furthermore, the RODE SC-10 is a high-quality 3.5mm TRRS to TRRS cable designed to connect on-camera microphones to your mirrorless/DSLR camera or smartphone. Moreover, it comes with a flexible cable segment for optimal shock mount performance, coupled to a reinforced cable segment for routing around the camera.
RODE SC-16 USB-C to USB-C Cable
Rounding off the new announcements is the RODE SC-16. It is a high-quality USB-C to USB-C cable designed to connect RODE microphones with a USB-C output to USB-C devices such as smart phones and tablets.
Furthermore, the SC-16 has an in-built cable grip that is compatible with the VideoMic NTG shock mount cable management system, making it perfect for connecting the VideoMic NTG for example.

2020 has been a very difficult year (and it’s not even over yet) for all of us, however RODE has been at it hard with a series of new accessories for the RØDECaster Pro and Wireless GO announced earlier in the year.
