Innovative LED lights maker Nanlite has just introduced a new Nanlite FS-200 LED alongside new Forza 60/60B Projector mount attachment. The new FS-200 is the fist of a new line of more affordable point-source LED fixtures from the up-and-coming LED maker.
Nanlite FS-200 vs Forza 200? What are the differences?
The new FS-200 is a more budget-friendly version of the popular and quite powerful Nanlite Forza 200 COB LED. The new Nanlite FS-200 has a similar body design to the Forza 200, however it can be powered only via mains (AC) and lacks DMX control. And as such, it is targeted towards more studio-based video productions.
One more difference compared to the Forza 200/300 is the matrix-array LED style in front on the new FS-200, compared to the single COB design on the Forza line-up.
More budget-friendly Forza 200 version
According to Nanlite, these features were implemented to keep the costs down, hence why the new FS-200 is twice more affordable at just $369 USD.
However, despite the more barebones feature set, the new FS-200 is still a very powerful LED. According to Nanlite, the FS-200 can output the staggering 29,380 lux at 1 meter (with the included reflector).
Furthermore, the new 200W continuous light LED is daylight balanced at 5600K and also features 11 built-in customizable practical effects.
High-Quality Light Output at an Affordable Price
According to the manufacturer, the FS-200 is rated at CRI average of 96 and TLCI of average 98. Also, just like the Forza 300, 200, and Forza 500, the new FS-200 features a Bowens mount making it compatible with hundreds of accessories to shape light.
Moreover, the Nanlite FS-200 LED has an efficient internal cooling system much like the Forza 200, which allows it to run at peak performance for long periods of time without. The fan can also be turned off from the menu in more sound-critical situations.
