LUMIX Tether for Streaming (Beta) is Panasonic’s answer to the Canon EOS Webcam Utility update. The Windows only (for the moment) software is compatible with popular Panasonic cameras such as the GH5, GH5s, S1, S1R, and Lumix S1H.
Furthermore, the Lumix Tether for Streaming allows users to quickly connect their Lumix-compatible camera to a computer with USB cable. Thus, transforming the camera into a pro-quality webcam.
Turn your S1H and GH5 into a High-Quality Webcam!
Understandably, in today’s extraordinary environment, more and more people are doing work from home, so camera manufacturers are stepping in to make the process of video conferencing a bit more bearable.
In addition, the beta software program for Windows is derived from conventional “LUMIX Tether (Ver.1.7)”. However, it provides an additional display option for the cases where this software is used for live streaming purposes.

From Tethering to Streaming on the Web
Moreover, the “LUMIX Tether” software was originally designed for tethered shooting for photographers. And as such it displays GUIs such as a focus area mark as well as control panels with live view images on the PC monitor during USB tethering.
However, according to Panasonic these graphic items become more of a distraction when the software was used to capture camera view for live streaming.
In response to the demands of customers to resolve this issue, LIVE VIEW mode has been added on “LUMIX Tether for Streaming (Beta)”. It enables displaying camera view only, making it easy for the separate streaming software to read it. Users can choose to show or hide these graphic items during USB tethering according to the usage purpose.
