Ever since its debut in 2018, the 100mm f/2.8 2x Ultra Macro APO from Venus Optics has been extremely popular among macro photographers thanks to its outstanding optics performance.

Apochromatic (APO) Optical Design

The lens features an advanced optical design known as Apochromatic (APO), which greatly supresses CA across the frame, while improving detail and sharpness. In addition, the lens can also focus to infinity for added versatility. Not only is it well-suited for macro photography but also good for portrait shooting.

Moreover, the new step-less aperture control gives photographers and video creators smooth transitions between each aperture level. Additionally, the new manual aperture Canon EF version comes with a 13-blade aperture design. This makes for  very soft, pleasing, and organic bokeh rendering.
