ZY Optics announces the L-mount version of the Mitakon Speedmaster 50mm f/0.95 full-frame prime lens for Lumix S1, S5 and others.

In addition, the Mitakon 50mm Speedmaster is also available in Sony FE, Canon R, Nikon Z and Leica M mounts.

And what’s interesting is that this lens happens to be first affordable f/0.95 lens for the L mount full-frame system. Designed for full-frame mirrorless system and is compatible with Sigma fp, Sigma fp L, Panasonic S1, Lumix S5, Leica SL, and other L-mount cameras.

Insane Bokeh at f/0.95

ZY Optics refers to the bokeh on their L mount 50mm f0.95 as “enchanting and dreamy ambience” at its maximum aperture. Therefore, being one of the faster lenses in the market, shallow depth of field enables a perfect separation of main subject and background.

In addition, the lens features a 9 blade rounded diaphragm design allowing for perfect round background separation.

Furthermore, the optical formula encompasses 11 elements arranged in 8 groups that greatly enhance the image quality, bringing high definitions and contrast even at wide open aperture.

Moreover, the extra low dispersion element successfully reduces the color fringing and chromatic aberrations. And according to ZY Optics the color rendered of their Mitakon Speedmaster 50mm is also vividly close to human eye’s capture.

Ultra-Fast Aperture for Night Photography

Of course many Mitakon Speedmaster users love the ultra-fast aperture, which makes any low light and night photography a breeze. In addition, the Mitakon Speedmaster 50mm f/0.95 can reproduce light source consistently over the entire frame, without the presence of spiky coma flare.

And also, anyone familiar with the rest of the Speedmaster line-up knows these lenses come with solid metal build quality. This ensures high durability as well as excellent operability to photographers and video creatives.

The lens offers a solid feel of precision in the hand enhanced by the evenly scaled aperture control ring and clear markings on the lenses’ bodies.

De-Clicked Aperture for Video

Video users can take advantage of the de-clicked aperture ring for smooth transition of exposure control. Also, being a manual focus lens, the 50mm f/0.95 has a long focus throw of nearly 360 degrees. This allows for much greater precision in adjustment of the focus point.

A 67mm popular filter thread is located in the front enabling creatives to use commonly available screw-in filters such as Polarizers, ND and others.
