Hollyland announces Streamix M1 compact multi-channel video switcher with SDI/HDMI support, built-in touchscreen and 1080p streaming.
In a nutshell, the new Streamix M1 is quite an interesting compact little video switching device with 256GB built-in storage for single-click recording your live stream. And speaking of live streaming, thanks to RTMP support, you can stream to up to 3 platforms at the same time. Supported platforms include YouTube, Facebook, Twitch and any RTMP-supported platform via wired or wireless internet connections.
Built-in Touchscreen for Easy Navigation and Operation
Moreover, you can adjust the aspect ratio, switch between landscape and portrait modes, and use the Multiview function to easily arrange multiple videos via the built-in 11.6 inch touchscreen display.
The new Streamix M1 is able to switch between a maximum of 6 video sources simultaneously including internet flow, local DDR videos, and a live stream from a mobile device camera (using the Streamix app).
And needless to say the unit also includes 2 x SDI and 2 x HDMI inputs, XLR, and 3.5mm connectivity, which gives you even more flexibility in a professional live production environment.
Switch Between Six Video Sources including PTZ and Smartphones
And as we move to some sort of normalization in the world and more and more live events coming back, the Streamix M1 allows you to capture any angle of your event with support for up to six video sources.
Furthermore, users can also control PTZ cameras via RJ45, providing a new layer of dynamic real-time creative capabilities to the event director.
RTMP Support for Multi-Platform Streaming
Streamix M1 supports any RTMP-supported platform, meaning you can stream up to three platforms simultaneously: Facebook, YouTube, Twitch, or any of the other hundreds of platforms that support the RTMP protocol.
Wired and Wireless Connections for Streaming
Sometimes you need to be flexible with connectivity, as live events that happen in the field or other venues might not be perfectly set up to allow you to connect to the web.
This isn’t a problem for the Streamix M1. With support for both wired and wireless connections, the Streamix M1 will allow you to connect to the web and stream your event no matter your location.
Sometimes connections from remote locations aren’t as perfectly reliable as those from a studio, so the Streamix M1 supports multiple video bitrate options from 1Mbps to 4Mbps as well as custom that can be tweaked according to the available bandwidth and desired resolution.
Intelligent Power Outage Protection and 256GB of Memory
However, we all know that bandwidth isn’t the only issue in the field. Power outages can be a huge pain, and therefore, in order to protect against corrupted files from an interrupted power supply, the Streamix M1 has intelligent power outage protection, which allows the files to save properly and the system to do a clean shutdown in order to preserve their integrity.
In addition, the Streamix M1 has 256 GB of built-in storage on board that allows you to record the ongoing live program while displaying saved videos on the program feed.
This is useful when the director needs to cut away to a commercial or other public service announcement and resume the live program with a slight delay.
