Aputure officially launched their long-awaited Accent B7c smart LED bulb dedicated for the motion picture and video production industry. However, the Aputure Accent B7c is more than just a smart LED bulb though; it has some unique features such as a built-in battery, on-board controls, and full RGB colour mixing.
A Dedicated Smart RGBWW LED Bulb for Filmmaking!
A first in a new family of practical LED lights, the 7W LED is a powerful RGBWW tool for any set and budget.
Priced at $70 USD, the Aputure B7c is also flicker-free (up to at least 1000fps) and comes with a E26/E27 socket making it compatible just about anywhere in North America and Europe. Other parts of the world that use a bayonet mount will need an adapter, which can be easily and affordably sourced from 3rd parties.

Match Any Light Source on Set or Pick Your Own!
As it has been designed to be used on set with other pro light fixtures, the Accent B7c matches the colour temperature range of the Nova P300c, Aputure’s top end RGBWW LED for the film industry, producing a wide colour temperature range of 2,000K-10,000K. And of course, when paired with the incredible Sidus Link’s SourceMatch feature, the tiny B7C can match nearly any white light source.
Another cool feature is Colour Picker, which allows you to pick any colour from your surroundings via the Sidus Link and the B7c will match that colour. Thus giving you endless creative opportunities.
Unique Diffusion and Built-in Battery
Furthermore, the B7c is made out of high quality aluminium and features a unique toroidal diffusion design to dissipate heat. Since it is passively cooled, the B7c is completely silent and its diffusion and aluminium body help it dissipate the generated heat. Also, thanks to its diffusion, the light is evenly spread for a more pleasing quality of light.
One of its biggest and most important features is the built-in battery, which is rated at 70+ minutes at full power. This is a first for the industry. When used at minimum power, the battery can last for around 20 hours.
Early next year, Aputure is planning on releasing an 8-Light Charging Case (more on that a bit further down below), but for now, you can charge the light by plugging in into a live lamp socket.
Built-in CCT Controls and Presets
Life on set can be pretty hectic, and when you need to move fast you need quick access to CCT control. Unlike other smart LEDs, the Accent B7c has intuitive quick access controls on the side of the bulb allowing users to adjust brightness and CCT presets in a few simple clicks, without using the Sidus Link app.
Unleash the Full Potential with Sidus Link App
Just link in its Aputure MC sister light, users can unleash the lights’ full potential with the Sidus Link app.
To get the best out of this smart LED bulb, Aputure relies on the incredibly powerful built-in Sidus Mesh technology. And it gives users wireless control over the B7c via a smartphone or iPad using the Sidus Link app. Thus allowing filmmakers to fine-tune CCT, brightness, colour, and FX, as well as use features such as SourceMatch and ColorPicker modes to match nearly any colour.
In addition, using the Sidus Link, the users have access to built-in lighting FX, as well as SidusPro FX such as PickerFX, Manual FX, and Magic Program. These allow users to create virtually unlimited creative ways in which groups of B7c’s behave.
8-Light Charging Kit – Coming Soon
Available now to purchase as a standalone bulb, the B7c will also be available in an 8-Light Charging Kit, made for indie-filmmakers, owner-operators, and rental houses. This kit will be available to pre-order soon with shipping estimated for Jan 2021.
The upcoming kit of 8 x B7c features a durable hard shell case with the capacity to store, protect, and simultaneously charge up to eight B7c bulbs.
