8K ProRes RAW firmware update for Ninja V+ and Canon EOS R5

AtomOS 10.68 update now available to download

Atomos has released firmware update 10.68 for the Ninja V+ enabling support for 8K ProRes RAW from the Canon EOS R5 full-frame camera.

Ninja V+ and 8K ProRes RAW workflow

When combined with the Canon EOS R5 the Ninja V+ can now record 8K ProRes RAW in 23.98p, 24p, 25p, and 29.97p. In addition, a 5K resolution option up to 60p is also available.

Apple ProRes RAW 8K provides an unparalleled combination of real-time, multi-stream editing performance, and impressive image quality preservation.

The recently announced new features of white balance (WB) and ISO in Final Cut Pro gives creators even greater flexibility and control over their image processing during post-production.

Updates for Ninja V

Ninja V users will also benefit from AtomOS 10.68 firmware update with the ability to capture up to 5K/30p ProRes RAW recording from the Canon EOS R5 alongside the other functionality included in the firmware update.

White balance (WB) and ISO in Final Cut Pro adjustments will also be available to Ninja V users in post-production.
